Dr. John Bennett , FDS RCS Edin. LDS D.Orth RCS Lond.

Dr. John Bennett is the Orthodontic Clinic Director at Nicolas & Asp College of Postgraduate Dentistry. He received his specialist orthodontic training at the respected Eastman Institute in London, and is a well-known figure in world orthodontics. He has been the senior partner in a leading London orthodontic practice since the mid-1980’s, with informal lecturing arrangements at important European Universities, but is now living in Dubai. He is co-author of four orthodontic textbooks, including the best-selling ‘Systemized Orthodontic Treatment Mechanics’, which is available in 14 languages, including Arabic. With two colleagues from North and South America Dr Bennett developed the well-known MBT™ philosophy of orthodontic treatment, which is the treatment method of choice in university teaching departments around the world, and for two decades he has maintained an international reputation as an outstanding clinical orthodontist and teacher.

Dr. Donald J. FERGUSON, DMD, MSD

Dr. Ferguson is Professor and Dean, Nicolas & Asp College of Postgraduate Dentistry in Dubai, UAE. He is formerly Professor and Chair of Orthodontics at Boston University, Executive Director, Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University, and Chair of Orthodontics and Director, Advanced Orthodontic Training Program, Marquette University. Dr. Ferguson is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) and past president of the EH Angle Society, Midwest Component. He served as a senior Fulbright scholar (a US national scholar award) at Alexandria University, Egypt, and has lectured extensively at university, regional, national and international forums. He received his dental degree from University of Oregon and an MSD in orthodontics from University of the Pacific. His research interests include bone biology and tissue healing related to tooth movement. He has authored over 100 articles and abstracts for many professional journals and publications as well as contributed chapters to several textbooks.

Ahmad M.A ISMAIL, BDS, CESpedo, DUOA, DSO

Dr. Ahmad Ismail is Professor of Orthodontics at Nicolas & Asp College of Postgraduate Dentistry. He is formerly Dean at Baghdad University College of Dentistry as well as Professor & Chair of Orthodontics at Baghdad University. Dr. Ismail is Founder of the College of Dentistry at Almustanseria University, Iraq. He is past President of the Iraqi Orthodontic Society, Chief Executive of Specialized & Consultant Clinic at Baghdad University, Chief of the editorial board of the Iraqi Dental Colleges Journal, and Baghdad Dental College Journal. He served as member of the board of Iraqi High Medical Specialization Committee. He has given numerous continuing education programs in Orthodontic at national and regional levels. He received his dental degree from the University of Baghdad, DOS doctorate of Orthopedic Dento-Facial, DUOA University of Paris VI France, and CES in Pedodontics from University of Paris V France. He has started teaching programs at the end of 1983 & supervised more than 120 Masters & diploma degrees and research projects and authored many articles published in national journals.

Dr. Rolf Lindman , DMD, MSD

Dr. Rolf Lindman is Director of the Orthodontic Master degree training program at Nicolas & Asp College of Postgraduate Dentistry, and he is Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Malmo University, Sweden. Dr. Lindman received dental training at Malmo University, orthodontic specialty training at Public Dental Service, Linkِping, and a PhD degree from Umea University, all in Sweden. He was Head, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Jaw Orthopedics, University Hospital MAS, Sweden and has particular interest and expertise in the treatment of cleft lip & palate patients. His research interest in muscle physiology and has numerous scientific publications in refereed professional journals.

Dr. Abdelhakim El-Gheriani, BDS, DMD, MS

Dr. Abdelhakim El-Gheriani is Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at Nicolas & Asp College of Postgraduate Dentistry. He was born in the USA, raised in Sheffield, UK and is of Libyan ancestry. He earned his BDS from Benghazi, Libya; DMD and MS from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Dr. El-Gheriani received a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics from University of Colorado and is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). He was faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and Dental Director at UPMC Braddock Hospital, USA. He has published research in the fields of heritability of malocclusion and on government expenditures for orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Marie E. Follin, LDS, DDS, PhD, Odont.dr.

Dr. Marie Follin is visiting Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Nicolas & Asp College of Postgraduate Dentistry. She received her dental degree, orthodontic training and doctorate at the well renowned University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research interests have been tissue reactions in orthodontic tooth movement as related to clinical practice. She has long clinical experience in orthodontics including the position as Senior Orthodontic Consultant and clinical director within community dentistry in Sweden as well as working in private practice in Kuwait. At University of Gothenburg, The Sahlgrenska Academy, she has had the position as Associate Professor as well as senior lecturer. She has been clinical instructor in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs and has received students’ awards for best teacher. For a year she held the position as Associate Professor at Arhus University Denmark. She has given several independent courses in orthodontics for all levels of orthodontic education. She is co-author in a Swedish orthodontic textbook for graduate students and general practitioners.
